The BBC has now reported the Microsoft share buy in Facebook at a cost of £117m equivalent to a 1.6% stake in the company valuing Facebook at $15bn. Not bad for 4 years work, but most of the value comes from the potential ad revenues that the site could end up generating. Google has shown the power of attention and Facebook certainly has alot of that to sell to advertisers.
